Girl Power: Unlocking Potential on Young Women

Meet Zanele Ntombela, founder of Young Women Mentorship SA, a non-profit organisation. Zanele is also the Life Couch, a Mentor, a game-changer who empowers individuals to transform their lives from self-doubt to self-love, unlocking their full potential. Additionally, she is the Life Couch Support to the women enduring the pain of grief. Zanele’s personal experience of losing three of her five children has equipped her with a deep understanding of grief. She is a successful entrepreneur and the founder of  Sibahle Cosmetics, where she creates nourishing bath salts and cosmetics, and combines her skills to offer holistic care and healing. 

What is the mission and the programs or initiatives of Young Women Mentorship SA?

Young Women Mentorship SA’s mission is to inspire and empower young women in the township through mentorship, skills development, and community engagement initiatives. The program provides supportive networking and creates safe spaces for young women to thrive and become great leaders who can transform their lives. Our programmes are Educational Support, Networking Events, Personal Development, Community Engagement initiatives such as giving back, and Skills Development workshops.

Zanele highlighted unemployment and economic disparities, Gender-Based Violence and safety, Lack of Role Models and Mentorship, Health and Wellness Issues, Confidence and Self-Esteem as the significant challenges faced by young women. 

In order to address the challenges, we provide tutoring services, hosting Career Workshops, Entrepreneurship Training, Counselling services, Self-Defense classes, Mentorship programs, Role Model Connections, Mental health support, Fitness programs, Confidence Building, and Leadership training.

Young Women Mentorship SA has many successful mentorship stories, including Selokela Molamodi, a mentee who achieved second place for Best Performing in Journalism Studies with guidance of Zanele Ntombela Life Coaching. Another mentee Dineo Mnyanga also benefited from Young Women Mentorship SA Life Coaching. She was transformed to be the best version of her personal identity and self-discovery”

Zanele’s advice to young women who are seeking mentorship: “ be open minded to learning, commit to personal growth, set goals and stay dedicated, build strong relationships and ask for help and believe in yourself.

Please join Zanele Ntombela every August month of the year for the Annual Business and Wellness Summit, a special event commemorating Women’s Day. This year’s Summit will focus on empowering and healing women who are experiencing pain and grief, and offering a supportive environment or personal growth, connection and renewal.
